Resumen

GOFMAN, Erving. Fun in games. Apunt. investig. CECYP [online]. 2016, n.28. ISSN 1851-9814.

In daily life, games are seen as part of recreation. Games can be fun to play, and fun alone is the approved reason for playing them. The individual, in contrast to his treatment of ' serious' activity, claims a right to complain about a game that does not pay its way in immediate pleasure. Because se-rious activity need not justify itself in terms of the fun it provides, we have neglected to develop an analytical view offun and an appreciation of the light that fun throws on interaction in general. This paper attempts to see how far one can go by treating fun seriously. It begins as if addressing itself to a general consideration of social interaction, drawing on games for some illustrations. Only later will the question of fun in games be raised, and only at the end will any kind of answer be attempted.

Palabras clave : Fun; game; symbolic interactionism; encounter.
