Abstract

MURZI, Diego  and  CZESLI, Federico. From humility to mentality: A comparative analysis of the development process of professional football players in Argentina and France. Apunt. investig. CECYP [online]. 2016, n.28. ISSN 1851-9814.

Thist article presents several results of a comparative ethnographic re-search between two professional soccer players formation centers –Estu-diantes de la Plata in Argentina and Olympique de Marsella in France. The general goal was to analyze the social representations that structure the practice in each country, and in this particular case we present coinciden-ces and differences between the proposal that clubs make to players in ter-ms of soccer conception, values and relationship with practice, and the way players “receive” the proposal and perform their practice.
