Abstract

RINESI, Eduardo. The secret and the politics: Notes on the latest writing by Oscar Landi. Apunt. investig. CECYP [online]. 2017, n.29, pp.134-145. ISSN 1851-9814.

At the beginning of 2003, Oscar Landi presented his last paper to the editorial staf of Society, journal of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Uni-versity of Buenos Aires. This article has finally appeared as a tribute, after his death. In this paper, Landi deals with the relationship between secrecy and politics, from a perspective that prolongs and completes his theoretical militancy in favor of a more participative, horizontal and transparent de-mocracy. Secrecy is part of the political life and cannot be erased by a de-cree of the political will. When secrecy is installed in the heart of the mode's government, as a culmination of a logic of separation between rulers and ruled, excluding citizens from the management of their lives, it must be rejected and fought. Oscar Landi's latest piece, written around the discus-sion that animated Argentinian debates after the great institutional crisis of 2001, must be read as a strong commitment to the democratization of our democracy.

Keywords : Oscar Landi; secrecy; politics, democracy.
