Application of the NRTL method to experimental data obtained on several systems at different temperatures shows that the energy parameter set that minimizes the objective function at a given temperature, T₁, can be used for estimating phase compositions at other T values without serious error. It is concluded that this approach should be preferred to the use of interpolated or extrapolated g_ij values.
