This work addresses the issue of the dwelling space use and arrangement at Morro del Fraile and El Carmen 1 villages, located on the Cajón Montagne Range in Santa María valley, between the 7th and 15th centuries AD. Therefore, an architectonic record formal analysis was performed, starting with the layout drawing, the structures record and analysis, and the dwelling units' types identification. Afterwards the architectonic analysis results altogether with absolute and relative chronology data, and information obtained from previous excavations, allowed to structure a general view on the occupational history and practices developed in each village.
