Abstract

CARRIZO, Gabriel. Trabajo, petróleo y ruptura populista: Los trabajadores del petróleo en la gobernación militar de Comodoro Rivadavia. Estud. - Cent. Estud. Av., Univ. Nac. Córdoba [online]. 2009, n.22, pp.105-126. ISSN 1852-1568.

In 1944 the national government created the Military Zone of Comodoro Rivadavia, with the explicit purpose of defending the oil operations. This zone modified the limits of the National Territories of Chubut and Santa Cruz to create a new politico- administrative jurisdiction in the basin of the San Jorge Gulf. The analysis of this particular historical situation will be the most important point to deal with in this work. One the one hand, a different explanation about the causes leading to the installation of a militarised space is intended. On the other, an analysis is introduced of the way the oil workers perceived the disruption that the Peronist Movement would bring about.

Keywords : Populism; Peronism; Radical Inclusion; The Petroleum Workers; The Militar Zone of Comodoro Rivadavia.
