Abstract

TCACH, César. La derecha ilustrada: Carlos Ibarguren, Nimio de Anquin y Lisardo Novillo Saravia (h). Estud. - Cent. Estud. Av., Univ. Nac. Córdoba [online]. 2009, n.22, pp.193-208. ISSN 1852-1568.

The crisis of political dominance of 1930 in Argentina doomed the decline of the democratic regime with radical predomination, it potentiated the offensive of Catholic Church against the Liberal state and , to a relevant sector of the intellectual world, the crisis cast a shadow on the reformatory illusions longed for in 1918. After Uriburu´s coup in Córdoba the wish of several intellectuals of laying a silver bridge between democracy and socialism (Deodoro Roca, Gregorio Bermann) had to face another intellectual nucleus as its reduced but influential counterpart ; its outstanding figures were: Carlos Ibarguren, Nimio de Anquín - leader of the National Fascist Union party - and Lisardo Novillo Saravia (Jr), a lawyer closely linked to the Catholic Church who had been Interventer-Rector in the National Univerisity of Córdoba (1943-1945) In all three cases the article intends to approach the political and intellectual practice from a viewpoint that takes into account both the deconstruction of the Liberal state fostered by the Catholic church and the influence of European totalitarianisms.

Keywords : The Right wing in Córdoba; Clericalism; Fascism; Totalitarianism; Deconstruction of the Liberal state.
