Resumen

CLOSA, Gabriela. Espacio público, arte y protesta en Córdoba1. Estud. - Cent. Estud. Av., Univ. Nac. Córdoba [online]. 2011, n.26, pp.00-00. ISSN 1852-1568.

In 2001, as part the major crisis that affected Argentina and bring about the end of President Fernando de la Rúa, revealed a unique form of protest that was marked by an appeal to art. In fact, repeatedly claims were framed in formats that had the participation of artists in creating works that were linked to the subject of the protest and, in many cases, involving the participation of citizens as active participants in carrying out such work. In that sense, we recover the group's work Urbomaquia entitled La Mesa, which consisted of placing a table fifty feet long, in the pedestrian street which is located in the Legislature of the Province of Cordoba, in which neighbors who wrote messages circulated her to the political class. This intervention in public space required the participation of the citizenry. The impact of this proposal revealed the crisis in the traditional channels of representation as well as the fragmentation of social demands in a diverse set of expressions

Palabras clave : protest; public space; art; politics; crisis.
