Since the mid of the twenty century, Political Theory and Science are using the concept of democracy to talk, describe and perform the construction of the common world of politics. But we can´t affirm that democracy has got the identical political force or the same clear meaning as in the recent past, when mentioning it, theorization of democracy were talking about the global resurgence of democracy after authoritarian or totalitarian rule. In this text there is a review of some contemporary and heter ogeneous critical arguments to the core of the democratic tradition; the one which was associated with political liberalism since the end of II world war. These critical opinions are going beyond of what we can call the crisis of representative democracy or the transformation of the representative link between government and citizens. And they are asking how to recuperate the singularity of democracy. Here, democracies it is not assimilate with political liberalism, and the claim is that the former don´t need to dissolve inside the last. In this sense, this article emphasis Chantal Mouffe Political Theorization about the erosion of democracy to give sense to contemporary world, giving less importance to other dimension that is present in her analysis, about the crisis of politics
