In this paper I intend to confront two perspectives on the legacy of Monique Wittig in lesbian feminism. While Teresa de Lauretis supposes that the wittigeans considerations about lesbian involve the opening of an unprecedented conceptual and political horizon that opens a cognitive and subjective practice outside the heterosexual contract, Judith Butler consider that perspective reinstalls a restrictive conception of identity that carries the contestation and exclusion of certain specific lifestyles lesbian identity.In a context marked by some legal victories that normalize the daily lives of LGBT people, examining this debate it allows us to imagine a matrix of intelligibility for the sex-gender dissidence that enables plural and singular modes of incarnating a gendered life.
