Abstract: This work proposes a reflection on the limits and possibilities of recent Argentine history, focused in particular on the consequences of the defeat of the left and the place that the activity of historians plays in the transmission of these stories. It points out the hybridity of the activity of historians who study recent history and problematizes the concept of "field", alternatively offering that of "frontier".
