Myocarditis Continuous update in myocarditis is very important because it is a serious clinical entity evolving from its initial definition in the early nineteenth century to the present concepts, notable changesin the understanding of its pathophysiology, new clinical insights that lead us to acknowledge more early clinical presentation, as well as variations and advances in treatment. First part of this update in myocarditis is presented, addressing the issues of definitions, epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, and diagnosis and in the second part, issues related to current treatment, all based on the evidence currently available
