Refractory arterial hypertension secondary to acromegaly Acromegaly is a low prevalence multisystem disease, often underdiagnosed, with a high mortality rate caused mainly by cardiovascular or cerebrovascular complications for which arterial hypertension (AH) is a major risk factor. We report the case of a patient with severe AH refractory to maximum pharmacological treatment, where the diagnosis of acromegaly was performed and blood pressure control was achieved after neurosurgical treatment.
