LAGOEIRO JORGE¹, Antonio José et al. Pericardite constritiva por tuberculose, uma condição de difícil diagnóstico. Insuf. card. [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.2, pp.93-96. ISSN 1852-3862.
Constrictive pericarditis (CP) is a clinical condition characterized by the presence of inflammation of the pericardial tissue, culminating in cardiac constriction. Tuberculosis can affect the pericardium and lead to a clinical condition known as tuberculous pericarditis (TP). We report the case of a young patient hospitalized with complaints of heart failure and CP in whom the etiological diagnosis of TP was confirmed by exclusion and response to therapy.
