This paper aims to know the impact of some determinants of dairy export supply in Santa Fe province in the period 2000-2012. A system of supply equations is used, modelling export and domestic destinations simultaneously with a monthly frequency. The empirical results show that export and wholesale prices (both measured in US dollars), availability of raw milk and cyclical and seasonal variables are all statistically significant in explaining external and domestic supply. As a conclusion it is found that dairy exports are more inelastic to its own prices than domestic wholesale prices, and elastic with respect to primary raw milk production.
