This paper presents an estimate of Synthetic Activity Indicator Rosario Region (ISARR) for the period 1993-2012. It represents a contribution to the few regional statistics. In addition, the detailed description of the methodology is a guide to elaborate monthly indicators of activity in other areas or regions. The ISARR shows four complete business cycles since 1993 instead the nation and province (three cycles); but it reported a movement consistent with them. Also ISARR showed some stylized facts of the Argentina economy: the Tequila crisis, the boom during Convertibility, the 2001/2's deep socio-economic crisis, the recovery in postconvertibilidad and the 2008/9's recession. These results justify its use as an appropriate indicator to monitor economic activity in the region Rosario.
