ROITBARG, Hernán Alejandro y BAZZA, Alcides. Devaluation and pass-through in Argentina. Evolution of its structural components during 2005-2015 from an input-output approach. SaberEs [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.2, pp.173-192. ISSN 1852-4418.
The transfer to prices of a devaluation has been a subject widely investigated by the international economy and macroeconomics. However, there is little empirical evidence for Argentina about the size of the impact by means of imported costs, the hierarchy of its components and the importance of interindustrial relationships. In order to deepen in this field, based on an input-output model, this research studies the impact of a devaluation on the Consumer Price Index for Argentina. The analysis period covers from 2005 to 2015. The calculations made use the OECD Input-Output Tables for Argentina from 2005 to 2015.
