Resumen

CAMINO, Mariana A. et al. Estudio morfométrico de las cuencas de drenaje de la vertiente sur del sudeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina). Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2018, vol.27, n.1, pp.73-97. ISSN 1852-4265.

The southeast of Buenos Aires has a drainage network that runs through rural, urban and coastal areas before flowing into the Atlantic coast. The objective of this study is to analyze the morphometry of twelve drainage basins of the southeast of the province of Buenos Aires located on the southern slope of the Tandilia System. Understanding and predicting their hydrodynamic behavior could offer a significant contribution to environmental planning and adequate management of surface water resources. Seven direct measuring morphometric variables, parameters of form (3), drainage networks (5) and relief (6) were determined. It is concluded that the hydrological responses are determined mainly by the location of the basins with respect to the axis that constitutes the mountain axis. The variables that make it possible to evaluate and understand the response of the water system at possible flood peaks and the hydrological response of each basin are conditioned by the distance between the springs and the mouth. Knowing the hydrodynamic behavior of the basins is essential to implement programs and management plans.
