COHEN, Carolina; VEREDA, Marisol  e  BENSENY, Graciela. Camarones y Puerto Deseado: estudio de atractividad de dos puertos patagónicos para el desarrollo de turismo de cruceros. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2019, vol.28, n.2, pp.57-85. ISSN 1852-4265.

In Argentina, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and Ushuaia city lead the cruise tourism offer. However, there are other ports, such as Camarones and Puerto Deseado that may be considered potential destinations according to the interest demonstrated by some cruise operators as they occasionally called at these ports. In this context, the aim of this work is to analyze the attractiveness of Camarones and Puerto Deseado for the development of cruise tourism based on the appraisal given by both cruise passengers and the key actors in the area of study. The methodology used is the qualitative-quantitative approach applied to surveys carried out on cruise passengers and in-depth interviews with key informants. The results show the high potential that both destinations present for the development of cruise tourism according to the tourist valuation of the attractions particularly related to natural assets.
