Following Antón Figueroa's methodological proposition, from a systemic perspective, this article probes into the importance of the reader in reception and recreation of Basque literature. A promenade through literary texts, histories of literature, and different cultural milestones of the language, provides an altogether picture of the literary system in Basque tongue.
