This article seeks to contribute to the interpretation of a precise locus of the Poema de Mio Cid, its second laisse, from the analytical elements yielded by a contextual discoursive approach. In order to go from the ways of saying to the ways of meaning in the epic text, the analysis starts from the recognition of autonomy of the written text, but a framework of voices and "contaminations" from different cultural layers is integrated as well to the argumentation.
