Abstract

GELZ, Andreas. Prensa y tertulia: Interferencias mediales en la España del siglo XVIII. Olivar [online]. 2009, vol.10, n.13, pp.165-200. ISSN 1852-4478.

The following paper examines several examples of the representation of sociability in the Spanish press during the 18th and early 19th century, paying thereby special attention to the so-called tertulia. This research attempts to shed some light on the connections between socialization and press, inquiring at the same time - among other things - the function that the fictionalization of tertulia fulfills in contemporary press so as the meaning of sociability as a narrative pattern for the development and emergence of public opinion in Spain.

Keywords : Tertulia; Press; Sociability; 18th Century.
