Abstract

SANCHEZ, Mariela. La fuerza del testimonio o el testimonio forzado: Construcción de la memoria de la Guerra Civil española en Muerte en El Valle, de Christina Hardt. Olivar [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.15, pp.109-129. ISSN 1852-4478.

Christina Hardt undertakes a film project based on a personal and family search that allows her to view from a different angle the problem of treatment of oral testimony. Muerte en El Valle, Hardt's documentary discussed here from the perspectives of various theories on testimony, contains a series of procedures that shows the appropriation of the words of others and some extreme features due to the urgency generated by old-aged informants. This aspect is significant for the memory of Spanish Civil War in the production of the last entresiècles.

Keywords : Documental; Franquism; Generation; Informants; Traumatic past.
