Through the examination of certain areas in the work of Walter Benjamin and Georges Didi-Huberman, this paper aims to contribute to the discussión on the contemporary ways of working-through the traumatic memory of the twentieth century in literature, specially focusing the state of the art in this field in Spain. Given this framework, the discussión shall be centered on the concepts of"medium" (the role of media in the twenty-first century, so as memory as medium and means) and montage.
