Abstract

GANDULLO, Ricardo  and  FAGGI, A. Maria. The rupicolous vegetation of the Copahue Provincial Park. Kurtziana [online]. 2006, vol.32, n.1-2, pp.13-24. ISSN 1852-5962.

Floristical and ecological relationships of rupicolous communities were analyzed in the Copahue Provincial Park, located at the northwest of Neuquén Province. The vegetation was studied according to the methodology of the Zürich-Montpellier phytosociological school. The relevéspecies matrix was classified by means of clustering hierarchical techniques. Four rupicolous communities have been recognized at different bioclimatic belts: 1) Glerophytic on stabilized stones, located in the supramediterranean belt; 2) Chasmophytic in the lower montane one; 3) Chomophytic in the upper montane and 4) Chasmophytic orophilous in orotemperate or subandean belt. The syntaxonomical location of these communities is presented. Also structural, ecological, biogeographical and floristical features are discussed.

Keywords : Phytosociology; Cluster; Saxicolous vegetation; Copahue Provincial Park.
