Abstract

The South of the Gran Chaco region includes the North of the province of San Luis and the West and North of the province of Cordoba (Argentina). A preliminary study of the macrolichen flora of this region was developed. A total of twenty genera with fifty three species were identified. The present study includes ecological data of the species in the studied region, bibliographical data about the distribution of the species in Argentina and bibliographic reports of iconography for some species. Three species are reported for the first time for Argentina, eigthteen for Cordoba province and sixteen for San Luis province. The specific substrate for three species was extended.
