Abstract

CANAL, Dubán  and  OROZCO, Clara Inés. Cuatresia glomeruflorula (Physaleae, Solanaceae): new species for Colombia. Kurtziana [online]. 2010, vol.35, n.2, pp.07-13. ISSN 1852-5962.

Cuatresia glomeruflorula (Physaleae, Solanaceae) is a new species from Southwestern of Andean Cordillera, in Cauca (Colombia). New collections indicate its presence in Ecuador and Peru. It could be confused with Cuatresia trianae Hunz., but it is distinguished by its habit decumbent, the number of flowers per inflorescences (35 to 45), which are arranged in congested glomerules of small blue flowers, the corollas of 5-10 mm long., with inconspicuous or absent interpetalar membrane, the stamens exert, the fruits of 3-5 mm diam, and the number of seeds (35 to 45). In this publication is presented a key for the species of Cuatresia.
