Mucuna sloanei is recorded for the first time from Corrientes province (Argentina). This finding extends the distribution area about 400 km to the south. The site of collection will be affected by the elevation of Yacyretá Reservoir; therefore protection actions are necessary for its continued existence at the reserve.
