Abstract
MARCHESSI, Jesús E et al. Presence of Euphorbia davidii Subils (Euphorbiaceae) in Buenos Aires Province: morphology and anatomy. Kurtziana [online]. 2011, vol.36, n.1, pp.45-53. ISSN 1852-5962.
During the taxonomic identification of the weed toothed spurge (Euphorbia dentata Michaux), in order to study morphological, anatomical and biological characteristics of the species, we observed traits that allowed its reclassification as Euphorbia davidii Subils. For this purpose, plants collected from central and southern areas of the Province of Buenos Aires. A detailed morphological and anatomical description of plants from different populations was made. As a result, we establish that E. davidii is the omnipresent species in the study area. It is proposed that this species should be included in the flora of the Province of Buenos Aires and that the collected material from this region held in herbariums should be revised, since they might be erroneously classified as E. dentata.
