FEIJOO, Mabel S  e  ARRIAGA, Mirta O. Sinopsis of Eleocharis genus (Cyperaceae) from Patagonia Argentina. Kurtziana [online]. 2012, vol.37, n.2, pp.5-21. ISSN 1852-5962.

Eleocharis is an important genus in botanical composition of wetlands, where many of its native species present fodder value. On the basis of field work, we analyze presence and distribution of genus species in Patagonia, comparing data with existing bibliographic cites and herbaria preexisting samples. A comparative table with characters of the species cited for Argentinean Patagonia and a key to specifical identification are given. E. pseudoalbibracteata is the most abundant specie and its presence is confirmed in the whole region. E. macrostachya is registered from north to south, east to west, coincidently with existing cita. E. maculosa distribution is limited to the Lago Puelo National Park. E. melanomphala, despite coexisting with E. pseudoalbibracteata, presents more restricted distribution and is less abundant that the former. E. melanostachys and E. pachycarpa are distributed from north to south along the Andean and pre-Andean region. E. radicans was only found in the surroundings of Lago Epuyén and Lago Puelo National Park, although the existence of citation from other localities. The distributional area of E. bonariensis is widened to Chubut Province, with a first quotation in Trelew locality.
