Resumen

FATTA, N. et al. Floral pipe: length in Petunia x hybrida heredability, number of genes and the interaction of the date with the character. BAG, J. basic appl. genet. [online]. 2007, vol.18, n.2, pp.11-14. ISSN 1852-6233.

Petunia x hybrida, a floral summer of a economical importance in Buenos Aires, is nowadays produced with imported seed. The research presented is focused on the study of the feasibility to obtain locally competitive seed. The length of the floral pipe is a relevant character so the assay was designed in order to estimate the heredability, the number of genes intervener and the interactions with the date. The assay began with a F1 purchased from United States. In 2003, the F1 and F2 were sowed,739 individuals of F2 were placed in pots in three dates: 12/6, 26/6 and 8/7/2003 that were considered as blocks I, II and III respectively in a completely randomized design. It was assumed that the homocigotas would be situated in the tales of the F2 distribution, being determined that 3 to 5 genes could explain the variation of the pipe. The heredability in a wide sense recheaded 59.83 %. In 2005 in order to detect the interaction of the length of the floral pipe with the dates of sampling, plants from seeds harvested in 2003 of a freely pollinated F2 were obtained. The seed were sowed on seventeenth July and the lengths of the pipes were measured from thirteenth October Every flower was considered a repetition. The results were analyzed with infoStat/P, and a significant effect of the date of potted and the genotypes was observed, then it could be conclude that interactions between the dates of capture of the information and the length of the floral pipe was significant.
