WAINER, Ariel. Discourse analysis of a patient: contrast between the analysis on the narrati on level and on the word level using the computerized dictionary. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2010, vol.14, n.2, pp.350-358. ISSN 1852-7310.
The objective of this study consists in contrasting the results obtained on two levels of analysis of the discourse of a patient: the level of narration and the level of the words. The sample used corresponds to the transcription of a first interview of an analytic session. The instrument with which the discourse analysis was tackled is the David Liberman algorithm (DLA). As regards the procedure: - On the level of narration, the material is split into 22 narrative sequences in which the drives and defenses are considered, the main ones as well as the complementary ones. Regarding the defenses their state is also considered. Apart from carrying out a study on a micro level of each sequence, the global results are evaluated, insofar as drives and defenses are concerned. Concerning the first, statistical as well as logical prevalences are evaluated. - On the level of the words the computerized DLA dictionary is used. This instrument is applied in its two modalities: automatic and interactive. In both cases the whole of the sample is considered. The results obtained correspond to the drives which are present in the patient´s discourse. In the last point, concerning the discussion and the conclusions, the results obtained on the two levels are compared. Coincidences and divergences between them are analyzed.
