Abstract

LOSINNO, Horacio R. On values and the wish to be loved. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2012, vol.16, n.1, pp.85-106. ISSN 1852-7310.

The present paper consists of five parts. In the first one, the concept of value is defined. In the second one, the sources of values are examined, following the drive development line. In the third one the Study of the Intersubjectivity Method (MEIR) is described, as well as the way in which this method allows the systematic research of values and ideals. In the fourth, a longer section, I analyze the different ways in which the phrase "to be loved" can be understood. Finally, the conclusions section deals with the difficulties that can arise in the clinical work if values or ideals in the patient are disregarded and the way in which the patient expects to be loved by his objects.
