This article is part of a conceptual research on the psychopathological importance of states of void in the work of O. Kernberg, D. Winnicott, A. Green, P. Marty, D. Maldavsky and M. Recalcati. As the psychopathological categories in which these states have been observed are characterized by important alterations during the first moments of infant development, this article describes their theories regarding the first moments of the psyche. The different ideas are compared and coincident and dissident concepts are highlighted. Furthermore, the article presents these authors' conceptualizations on subjects of psychopathology as well as the ideas of other authors who have explored the same subject.
