Abstract

This work assesses the place case studies hold in the field of present research in Clinical Psychology. We wonder if this type of studies constitutes a method and / or a specific research design. We intend to establish characteristics for this type of studies and in this frame we devise their scope and also their limitations. Throughout this work we consider the case studies that are undertaken from an experimental stance, the non experimental systematic researches and the clinical histories or case reports.
