Abstract

KAUFMANN, Liliana. When the family is gone through by a child's autism: The Intersubjective roots of autism and guilt sacrificial forms. Subj. procesos cogn. [online]. 2014, vol.18, n.1, pp.141-156. ISSN 1852-7310.

This presentation is the result of a research whose object of study is the treatment of young children with clinical signs of autism and their parents. It highlights a doubledealing of the autistic solitude by the profound implication that have about the feelings that parents have to a son who does not demand them. They found in the bosom of families is gone trough by a child's autism, is produced a series of linkages of feelings, some of whose affective ingredients linked to the guilt. Guilt can be consciously recognized or be unconscious and in both cases assume forms sacrificial trying to resolve it. In addition put in evidence that the process of emotional regulation between the children and the parents studied, is altered in a point: each other do not have representations on affective states and thoughts. Thus the experience of solitude is shared. This new alternative contributes to think that the roots of autism are intersubjective A critical analysis of the ideas sustained by Kanner (1943), Fonagy (2007), Frith (1998) and Meltzer (1975), allowed to conceptualize solitude as the feeling that emerges when someone is not being thought of by the other, throughout desires, emotions and thoughts. Its design is longitudinal exploratory included in the limits of"single clinical case". The following of the treatment of three children between two and three years old, with clinical signs of autism was made during three years. IDEA scale, designed by Rivière and Martos (2000), and IDEA R-K (Kaufmann, 2004) were used to evaluate the therapeutic process. ADL - Algorithm David Liberman  (Maldavsky, 2004) was applied to estimate content validity of descriptive factors of IDEA R-K scale. The main conclusion which is up is that the implemented clinical methodology allows the child to reverse the clinical signs of autism when parents outweigh the intersubjective reasons that promote the difficulties of subjectivation of one child initially little connected to empathic relationships.
