The article aim is to show the analysis and conclusions reached regarding the study of discursive strategies displayed by the catholic institution against sexual education and new laws enforced by the state. The analysis is based on Foucault's concept of device, which is made evident in three strategies: the speech utterance, from a linguistic perspective; advertising strategies elicited by an asymmetry of power and a proposal of ideals manifested as truth knowledge. For the linguistic analysis of the speech act, the David Liberman Algorithm is applied, and for analysis of the argumentation, the stratagems of Schopenhauer are considered. As regards the advertising strategies, newspaper articles and historical data are analysed. From the perspective of the data in the previous two strategies, the meaning of truth allotted to the ideals of sexuality and abstinence is analysed. The article consists of five sections: the first deals with the church as an institution, the second provides a historical context for the relationship between the church and state in Mexico, the third explains the method and methodology applied, the fourth shows results and the fifth presents the discussion and conclusions.
