The aim of this work, set within the Freudian theoretical frame, is to design and implement a tool to categorize patient-therapist interaction in a first session. The instrument is useful to consider the construction of the therapeutic alliance and includes the variables of the explicit motive for consultation, affective and/ or somatic attunement and focus.
