A forest regeneration and the production of pastures, in a forest submissive processing of selective clearing, in the Arid Chaco of Cordoba was evaluated.There was an increase in the production of dry matter of the herbaceous layer, of more that three times with respect to normal values of the area. Differences in the percentage of ground with cover of canopia was found, but in the total percentage of fail to take unusable area for the cattle by shrubs and in the one of naked ground were not, being both minors after the processing.
