Abstract
SANABRIA, Eduardo A.; QUIROGA, Lorena B. and ACOSTA, Juan C.. Relationship between body temperature and environmental variables in adults of Bufo arenarum (Anura:Bufonidae) in a wetland of San Juan, Argentina. Multequina [online]. 2003, vol.12, n.2, pp.49-53. ISSN 1852-7329.
The objective of the work is to relate the corporal temperature (CT) of Bufo arenarum with environmental variables in San Juan swamp. The used CT was an average of all thermal data per sample (day) registered with a thermometer from December 2001 to November 2002 by means of 25 samplings. The CT was related to the environmental meteorological variables: mean temperature, heliophany, wind at 0.50 m above ground, all data recorded on the same day. Analyses of multiple regression were carried out based on these data. The CT showed a significant regression with respect to the whole set of variables, indicating the influence of these variables on the body temperature of this species.
