The diet of Liolaemus ruibali was studied in the Don Carmelo Multiple Use Reserve, San Juan Province. The stomach and intestine contents of 12 individuals were examined, determining the role of each prey with the relative importance index, and trophic range with the Levins index. Hemiptera was the most important prey category, followed by Formicidae. The diet is also composed of vegetables (Lycium chanar and Ephedra breana). The analysis indicates that Liolaemus ruibali is a passive and omnivorous predator.
