Abstract

MOREIRAS, Stella M.; LENZANO, M. G.  and  RIVEROS, N.. Landslide inventory in the Aconcagua Park, Mendoza province - Argentina. Multequina [online]. 2008, vol.17, n.2, pp.129-146. ISSN 1852-7329.

This basic study was performed to be integrated to the zonation of Aconcagua Park. A landslide inventory map was elaborated based on geomorphological analyses and field checking. Four hundred events were identified classified on rockfall, debris flows, debris flow zone, slides and complex events. According to geomorphological parameters, 89% of these events are active with very likely future reactivations amazing park activities. Hence, this study advertises about the natural hazard of this park with an increasing tourism  demands denoting the necessity of its zonation.
