SALES, Romina G.. Diversity of social actors in livestock territories in eastern Mendoza: contributions to land use planning. Multequina [online]. 2015, vol.24, n.2, pp.83-93. ISSN 1852-7329.
In Argentina from the ‘90s to the present, the soy phenomenon generated deep transformations in the Pampean region, with the consequent cattle displacement to the dry land central-western region. In Mendoza, for the implementation of land use planning was carried out a public participation process. However, it is noted that certain social sectors were left out of the discussion. The study analyzes singularity of livestock areas through the recognition of the social actors with a dissimilar logic of production, showing as a case study an area of livestock production of Santa Rosa Department, Mendoza. Identify the heterogeneities that constitute the territories, can be used to formulate land use planning public policies that do not ignore them. It is concluded that the link that producers entwine with the land is strongly related to the logic of production, which influences the construction of multiple territories.
