The seeds of C. gilliesii were subjected to different pre-germinative treatments to evaluate their germination capacity according to the degree of maturation. The germination of C. gilliesii would be affected by the presence of the impermeable testa that delays the imbibition in the mature seeds. The seeds harvested green can be used with good results.
