The coronavirus that is affecting everyone is called SARS CoV-2 and causes COVID-19 disease. The virus is spread mainly from person to person through small drops of saliva that are emitted by talking, coughing, sneezing.
To date, there is no effective specific vaccine or treatment for COVID-19, being prevention the most important measure.
It is our responsibility to collaborate with the Licensed Nutritionists so that they can implement the necessary protocols in their ambulatory consultations, also offering tools to guarantee maximum security and confidence in patients.
In this context and in order to preserve the health of patients, the Argentine Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists-Dietitians (AADYND), carried out this protocol for the ambulatory nutritional care of children, adolescents and adults.
