It is our purpose to evaluate the traspolation of the notion of the end of art in Danto to the end of history taking into consideration certain notions which, from Danto's point of view, establish differences between the philosophy of art and the philosophy of history realms. Thus, our analysis shall account for the assessment of suggestions posed by Danto himself in order to spur such a discussion and, secondly, shall dig into three fundamental distinctions between the art and philosophy of history fields, capable of defining a new perspective of the end of history. This approach shall allow us to look into the characteristics that may have, in this context, a central notion for the description of the posthistoric dimension such as pluralism.
