Abstract
FLEISNER, Ana. Hacia una teoría de la referencia para los términos de magnitudes físicas. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2011, vol.37, n.1, pp. 5-33. ISSN 1852-7353.
Physics uses a technical language -entangled with mathematical structures and experimental schemes - in order to describe and explain its study object and define the world to which it will refer to, as well as the tools through which it will approach this world. Those tools are known as physical magnitudes: metrical concepts via facts, phenomena and processes of the world can be quantified. The present paper outlines a reference theory for the physical magnitude terms that, by taking in consideration the main characteristics that differentiate them from the natural kind terms, aims to overcome the difficulties that traditional reference theories bring when applied to physical magnitude terms.
