Resumen

JAUREGUI, CLAUDIA. On the Possibility of a Monist Interpretation of the First Analogy of Experience. Rev. latinoam. filos. [online]. 2021, vol.47, n.1, pp.1-10. ISSN 1852-7353.  http://dx.doi.org/10.36446/rlf2021173.

In demonstrating the principie of the First Analogy of Experience, Kant arrives at the controversial conclusion that the substance must possess an absolute permanence. Some authors have considered that this implies the existence of a single substance. The objects of our daily experience would not be properly substantial, but rather would be states through which that unique substance passes. Against this point of view, I propose, in this work, an interpretation according to which the best model for understanding the Analogies of Experience is one that leaves open the possibility of a plurality of substances that exist in space-time, without be- ginning or end. I also intend to demonstrate that, according to this model, the objects of our daily experience would count as authentic substances.

Palabras clave : Kant; substance; monism; analogies; permanence.
