Abstract
PACINO, María Cristina; PEREIRA, Ayelén and COTLIER, Carlos. Utilización de datos gravimétricos GRACE e imágenes NOAA en un análisis multitemporal de la masa hídrica de la cuenca del río Paraná (Argentina). Geoacta [online]. 2011, vol.36, n.2, pp.211-228. ISSN 1852-7744.
In this work, the temporal variation of the La Plata Basin in Argentina is analyzed, by using the gravity data and satellite images from NOAA for the period 2003-2008. The main objective is to determine the extension and variation of the area covered by the water of the Paraná River in the Guaraní Water-bearing System, by following two different methodologies; and also the regions where the highest and lowest river levels had more impact are identified. Through the results obtained in this study, an economic methodology to evaluate the Paraná River water mass changes for a strategic area of the basin is expect to be established, with the purpose of predict and plan a better use and management of the regional resources in the near future.
