Abstract

ARENAS, Patricia. On the participation of the Province of Tucumán in the land survey imposed by law 26160: A view from the practice. Poblac. soc. [online]. 2013, vol.20, n.2, pp.125-136. ISSN 1852-8562.

This Note is an exercise on reflexivity concerning my participation, in the province of Tucumán, as a member of the operational task force (ETO) which was responsible for managing and implementing the Land Survey Program for Indigenous Communities, in response to Law 26.610 that orders the execution of a technical, legal and cadastral survey of territories now occupied by indigenous communities. The multiplicity of actors involved, the different outlooks on the reality to be surveyed, the tensions in the region and the conformation of the technical team, triggered a series of reflections on ethno-identity processes that are taking place in the province.

Keywords : Land Surrey; Indigenous communities; Territory.
